Chest: Inquest Breastplate

Boots and Leggings don’t properly fit, imo, so they’ll probably be changed.

i think of my thief as more of a marauder/skirmisher rather than a stealthy assassin

Here is my thief in pvp. I’m going to match the same armor in pve because it is simply awesome.

I posted these in the other thread about what you thief looks like but I’ll drop them here as well. This armor uses the Krytan coat (from gem store), T1 pants, and the named level 80 exotic boots. Colors are a combo of midnight and iron.

Well, that’s Silvari. But I only said that it rocked because it’s a refreshing look. 90% of the Thief community is either with a full set of CoF armor (which I’d just want to hunt down and rip the guy’s organs out with my bare hands), or some human cultural stuff/duelist followed with a hood because they try so hard to become whatever stale Assassin’s Creed / Anime psychopath they idolize. There is much more to that, infact, more potential than any other adventurer class, which is depressing.

Made my thief a female sylvari months back, and have not regretted it since (rocking the T3 with abyss dye). Most thieves you see are generic cookie-cutter human underboob T3/duelist and if they’re male the majority of them have the same facial hair. I shouldn’t really bother stating that though, because then I’d have to go point fingers at charr warriors and norn wars/guards. If “Server Name/World Rank” in WvW didn’t show up in big red letters I’m sure if dyed correctly my armor could be a sort of camouflage

IMHO, Sylvari cultural are the best looking armor for thieves.

I was just playing around in the PvP Locker, when I found this combination. It’s Whispers Mask and Boots, Invaders Rawhide Leggings and Vest, and Human Cultural Tier 3 Assassins Gloves and Shoulderpads.

Here’s my thief. Black is such a cliche color on thieves so i went a complete opposite

My female sylvari still rocks a midnight fire pirate coat and crimson determination headband (pics later, when I can). She used the look for so long, it’s hard to give up. They express a certain cute modesty I can’t find in any of the exotic sets. So, I’m currently looking for pieces for the other slots that will go well with them.

And I think it looks good on her. It has been something of a signature piece for her, and has brought her good luck since level 1.

Part of me wants to replace the pirate coat, so she doesn’t look like she’s level 40. Such is unbecoming of a mighty 80. But I’m enamoured with the romantic image of the humble thief, robbing from the rich and giving to the poor, while keeping in touch with her lowly roots. There’s not exactly a lot of modest rags in the exotic tier.

I’ve spent hours in order to find the proper combination of gear to make my thief like this.
Especially the pistol, finding one that matched the color scheme was really a pain. But now I spend a lot of time just looking at her

The word “assassin” may be Arabic related, but I doubt the concept of an assassin only came out of Arabia. Personally I like tight fitting clothes. In real life thats what I wear, I hate wearing bulky or overly showy clothes, I like well fitted clothes that show off my figure, with a bit of skin, so its how I like to dress characters in video games.

My biggest problem with a lot of the thief gear is the flowing robes/tails of the chest pieces. In my original screenshot the top half looks great, but the flow isn’t.

Where can I acquire duellist gear guys? It seems to be something you can buy through the TP but last time I checked it was down. And are 80 transmutation stones only available through the gem store?

As a male thief player, I too like wearing tight form fitting clothes that show off some skin.
