I’ve been playing a P/D build lately and I’ve found that Shadow Strike is quite unreliable sometimes even though the skill seems to have a very large swing-stab animation.
I’d like to suggest that the skill’kitten range be increased because it’s really frustrating to swing at someone and not hit them even though they are right in front of you.

Playing p/d for months, used it 3 or 4 times total but it has the same as any other non-cleaving melee attack. I would love if it arc cleaved 3 people though

I feel theirs a slight difference between it and cloak and dagger. C/D is way more reliable, but once someone side steps away from you, Shadow strike just acts like you can’t hit them even though the arc moves in their direction.
I’m glad i’m not the only one that has noticed this problem. The arc is ridiculously minuscule, 1 half step to the side, and you completely miss it, even with champions I’ve had few experiences with it in WvW.
I too agree. it should have the same arc as a CnD right? I would take a slower strike of a less reliable one.
If the skill was as slow as Cnd yea and arc would be necessary but considering its speed its pretty good in its current state. You just have to learn when to use it, also the small radius allows for counter play and punishes the user if they miss time the skill. I use it constantly in this vid http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bQIXC_VHghk
i think you guys are just to use to the animation of CnD, when u start getting use to it, its actually pretty reliable imo because its so much faster, it almost feels instant , u just gotta be pretty up close to ur target that u might feel awkward >.>

I’m not “used” to anything. I’ve been p/d longer than d/d in this game. The speed is nice, but the hit arc is still a bit of an annoyance. I have trouble thinking a skill with a smaller hit arc. Even BS is longer reach. This skill is similar to freaking call of duty knifing it’s arc is so small, accept you get no additional lunge at your target. I wouldn’t say this is an actual issue, but it is a noticeable annoyance.
