So I’ve been reading people here saying that people won’t use a stealth trap on thieves for 1v1. But less than 15 minutes ago I was outside Briar tower, a warrior laughed at me so I went and killed him. He was revived and then he just kept beckoning and laughing at me so I went to kill him again and I did not expect a stealth trap! Luckily I was able to get away with Shadowstep and Heartseeker spam. I know I should’ve expected it, but man it really scared the heck out me haha.

Jokes on him. But nevertheless you survived? That’s to be expected honestly, we’re thieves. Unless you’re doing a 1v5 enemy guild and one of them pop one on u. That’s the end!

I was fighting another thief outside SCM wall. Half way through the fight I thought “what the heck, let me try one of these traps.”

I started to deploy the trap (4 sec cast), shadow step away so he couldn’t hit me, then shadow step back to finish the deploy.

The trap instantly went off. I proceed to auto attack him with my sword. He used Blinding powder, his heal, and at 25% health last refuge proc’d, then at 10% health shadow refuge. None of those worked. I downed him and left him to bleed to death as I stood there laughing at him/her.

I was fighting another thief from Miller’s Sound yesterday. Half way through the fight I thought “what the heck, let me try one of these traps.”

Boom! 6 thieves popped out everyone with 30s revealed. They could not stealth but the broke my kitten and I died few seconds later.

i used one in a fight against a thief in tc….. i used SR….then 3 secs later he did. i hopped in the center of his and dropp trap….BOOM…..won with 100% hp. “when used” its an auto win button. its actually on video on the “stealth trap video in action” thread.

I would pack quite a few of these for my roams, but unfortunately they need 10 supply to be used. :S

I saw a guy laying one I think, so I bask venomed him and downed him in 3 seconds because he was a kittenty GC ranger. Thats been my only experience so far.

Last night I was hanging out north of hills just camping the area with a stealth trap placed. Just waiting for the inevitable thief to come hit me. I took a few traps as the first two challengers were not thieves but when the thief came by, I kited him to the trap. It worked great, he had no idea, then could do nothing other then spam HS.

Since it worked so well, I plan to be doing this much more as a scout.

Today I also used stealth trap on other thief… That was done in ruins of surmia border (my home border) near redwatter camp by a full cultural t3 female thief in black. If you read this, I’m sry but i couldn’t ressist
