Hey all, just curious to see what some of you came up with for thief sets. I myself haven’t found one, but am super curious to see if anyone has any creative sets, so link a pic or screenshot of you thief! And rate the person’s set above you(sorry whoever posts after me xD) Anyways, have fun guys!

I love this armor set
It uses the head piece that you can get upon character creation (subterfuge hood)
rubicon shoulderpads
The rest is Medium gem armor (krytan set)

Still wearing the same exact thing since Anet made it very clear that this would be the only skirtless chest piece I’ll ever have access to for the rest of eternity. Even if I pay 50 dollars for an expansion it’s still not enough for another one to them.

The only other skirtless ones that come to mind besides glorious are female sneakthief, female strider (gemstore), and female krytan (gemstore). I consider jackets extending below the crotch to be skirts, so male scout armor doesn’t count.

Tired of Trenchcoats.

Medium legendary armor is probably going to have a trenchcoat.

It screams necro.

Assassin’s gear is too mainstream. And who says you need to show off lots of skin to look good?

…though I would probably get Viper’s skirt in the future.

Full luminescent except for the hat (I don’t care for the headgear it’s just two simple flaps) which was an exclusive gift for pre-ordering back in 2012. So the hat is even older than the character wearing it ^_^

Second picture is Rainbow Dash and me avenging a certain character. But I allowed poor Taimi to go unconscious :(

I tried to make something coherent with skins you don’t see too often. The Viper chest piece is pretty nice for a medium that isn’t either revealing nor a pure trench coat.

Also the gloves are cultural sylvari T2, intended to make it looks like she grew stronger bark around her hands to protect herself.
( Sylvari are known to be able to do that in lore, all the sylvari cultural armor isn’t really vestment, it’s growing from the sylvari itself. )

FYI, I’m pretty sure the Viper’s skirt is the same as the Leyline leggings. Might save yourself some gems.

As for myself? My charr thief is running the following:
Helm: Mistwalker Shoulders: Heritage Chest: Marauder

I went with a gunslinger look as I mainly play P/P. The mask is a new addition and I still don’t know how I feel about it.

Both have skirts, dude so thanks for adding to the funny business. So I wont have a nice day regarding this. Tired of them making my weapons clip, making my Sylvari’s butt look big and getting snagged on bushes and other random objects when I’m running around so I’m locked into Glorious forever.

Recently switched to this look

My favourite is the 2nd. The last one has some clipping issues but looks better in combat pose.

Here’s is the look I’ve stuck with the most so far. The concept behind it was to create something that actually looks like medium armor: leather reinforced with metal at places.

Chest: Glorious (sPvP)
Gloves, Shoulder, Legs: Kodan (HotW)
Boots: Norn Cultural T3 (Norn thieves ftw!)

Here’s mine. I kinda like the leystone chestpiece.

Weapon would be s/d with shadow sword and dagger skins

First rule of being a thief is don’t look like a thief. Also, cheat to win fist fights.

Those are skirts o.o....? The jerkin is literally an undershirt and the duelist top is a baggy shirt o.o. If you want to convince yourself the glorious top is the only top that doesn’t get remotely close to your knees, you’re welcome to.

Well, I have to also add that I’m a sylvari. That’s probably the reason for the difference in viewpoint :P.
