I’m not a Thief guys. But I was browsing through the wiki and it seems Skale Venom gets torment added to it.

Well, that could be player inputted, so doesn’t mean much to me that it’s on the wiki.

But still pretty useless really that there will be this new condition and the only way thieves can apply it is through a boring venom.

I can see it being useful for a p/d thief. It’s 2 more damage conditions added to a set that’s mostly just bleeds. It could work with a venom share build as well.

We’ve had no official word on how torment will be applied yet. The leaked notes proved to be incomplete/inaccurate/wrong, so until the patch drops, we won’t know for sure.

It wouldn’t surprise me if it was applied via Skale Venom, however. That way, they can be pretty much assured that the only ones using it are condition users, and only a specific subset really.

I run a condition build 90% of the time in WvW, and I’d rather run caltrops over skale venom. There’s something rather satisfying watching people who don’t pay attention, and try to rez someone inside a caltrop ring, and end up with 15-20 stacks of bleeds and a snare, and run off to die next to their ally.

I can see it being useful for a p/d thief. It’s 2 more damage conditions added to a set that’s mostly just bleeds. It could work with a venom share build as well.

I run 15 in deadly arts, and Sigil of Doom on both weapon sets. Doing so insures I can drop poison and weakness every 10 seconds, on a 10 second duration(+100% poison duration) (and I don’t have to dedicate a utility slot to get it), plus there’s poison on steal wrapped into that.
