Here is my only beef with what just happened to our class.

In my company we have what is called a change management process. Every Monday at noon we implement a code change. Changes start on a free for all development server then are pushed to a “testing” server where our q&a team test as much as possible.

Then finally it will be put on the schedule to go live.

I guess this is my big beef. Why does Anet wait and roll out such HUGE CHANGES all at once. Would it be that big of deal to roll out the thief change and only that and see what happened. Within 10 minutes of that huge patch the bug was spotted.

I totally understand bugs and unintended things happen but holy crap when you make such HUGE patches how in the world …. well anyway.

If we were the QA team, they’d actually be tempted to listen when the player base starts shouting en mass “Whoa, wait, that was a terrible idea. You have to fix it.”
Not the first time they’ve done something as short-sighted as this. Certainly not the last.

Mythic had a test environment for DAoC where all proposed changes went but it didn’t really stop them making terrible changes.
