Anet please nerf Paper, Scissors is fine -Rock.
So I've never run Sword Dagger
Anet please nerf Paper, Scissors is fine -Rock.
I run the standard 10/30/0/30/0. My gear is nearly complete zerk, expect 2 trinkets and my valk bow, but just because I found it.
But honestly, I think to switch all my trinkets to zerker and my armor to soldier after the patch next month.
S/D is really a lot of fun, even in wvw, it’s so fast-paced, and you really have to pay attention.
Give it a try. The few first times may be a little bit hard, because most thieves rely on stealth, and you have a bad access to it. But you will learn to use your movement to prevent damage, and that’s really great.
The next thing I have learned, is to use my shortbow more often and more effective.
Your main source of damage, is the last hit from your aa, and larcenous strike. Try to hit with them. Your bursting potential is lower, but I kill people often as fast as with d/d.

I mainly dodge, my stealth is only for backstabs, so 1-2 seconds, I’ve run S/P before which is fun so I’m considering giving it a try.

This is the build I am currently running, but I think there is a lot of personal choice:
