Guild Wars 2

I was using a shortbow on my thief and tried to disabling shot away from some mobs.

I would jump forward and then teleport back to my starting position and then back again to where my jump had initially landed.

If I press the skill too much it would actually teleport me back and literally root me until I disabling shot again.

Is this the disabling shot bug I was reading about or just really bad lag?

Sometimes i have an issue like this one with my shadowstep in wvw. Dunno if it’s the same problem, but i guess it’s rubberbanding becouse anet servers are bad.

It does seem more pronounced compared to what I have. Yes Disabling Shot among other Thief abilities has always been rather “laggy”.

A lot of abilities on the Thief seem to suffer from similar lag and will often not react at all or with half a second delay. I’m not sure what the problem is. For a while I blamed it on my WLAN but even after using a cable connection it didn’t improve.

I think it’s something about the engine and how it doesn’t do well with movement-altering abilities. They seem to strain it a lot.

its a bug… sometimes it happesn 3x in a row and usually at dungeon bosses and in aoe in pvp. also it sometimes happens reallllly slow. like u press 3 and .75 secs later it acts. hate it.

Your computer says your go from there >>> to there.

Server says what ? I didn’t understand, stay there.

You used your ability but got ported back to where you were. Happened sometimes even with heartseeker.
