When thief got the 25% passive bonus on the signet, they took away the immobilize, ok that’s fair..

But now when the other professions got the 25% passive bonus and their own on-use skills, why not buff the on use for Signet of Shadow to immobilize again (or perhaps increase the speed to 33-40% or 5 sec regen) or nerf the other signets..

We can compare with Signet of Air the elementalist has, 20 sec CD AOE blind and damage on-use and 25% speed increase on passive for example.

Sorry if this has been talked about already, tried to search and didnt find anything.

EDIT: Signet of Shadows has a 30 sec CD with AOE blind.

Agreed. It’s stupid especially when “fleet shadow” is not working as intended which was meant as our compensation for the other class’ agility buffs.

Well that doesnt really bother me.. Its kinda imba but.. That our Signet was nerfed when we got 25% speed and the other classes is kept as is, kinda bothers me..

not many eles run signet of air because u can chain up to 2 minutes of swiftness fairly easily so its kinda useless. if anything mesmer need a signet passive speed effect thats the only class that i would give it too because they have the lowest in all of the game of ways to get swiftness and if they do its a verry low amount. plus for sure u have to carry focus with you at all times not my favorite weapon..

Couldn’t agree more with Lordryux. mesmer was my 2nd 80, and my first for WVW. Thief was my 3rd 80, and Guardian my 4th.

The lack of movement on the mesmer after being spoiled as a thief basically keeps me from playing the mesmer as much as I enjoy it. To be honest though thief is my main for life in gw2 regardless. But mesmer could really use some movement love.

You’re complaining about your speed, which is fastest in the game, when classes like Guardian, and Mesmers run slow as dirt?

Neither the Thief, or the Elementalist need to be faster.

We don’t need any more mobility.
We’re already the only class in the that can have a hope in hell of catching D/D Ele’s.
We don’t need to be passively faster than they are.

I would love the Active Immobilize back, though.

I don’t want our mobility to change at all. Neither buffs nor nerfs. I think thief is perfect right where it is. Swirmy and slippery, just as the devs intended, but not speed hax fast.

Plus, SoS active is one of my favorite tools again glass cannons and especially when downing rangers, warriors, guardians, engis, basically any class that can interupt you in downed mode is blinded so it misses and you finish them. Quite a useful tool if I say so myself.

I think Signet of Shadows itself is fine, it’s just that we don’t have access to as much swiftness as easily as something like a D/D ele, who can stack it to ridiculous durations and make it hard to catch people for melee range.

Again, as someone said, Fleet Shadow should be fixed and then I think our mobility would be perfectly fitting: Fast all the time, can go full on sanic speeds if you can get stealth.
