How come Spectral Recall is infinite range, but Shadow Return is not?

There descriptions are pretty much the same, however one is infinite range while the other is not? O.o

Thieves are the slipperiest class, yet we can’t get away from a fight without hitting a random pixel.

I don’t really think you can compare the two. One’s a utility skill with a 60 sec cd and the other a weapon skill with no cd. Also, the notes state that Spectral Recall needs to be used within 8 seconds, while Shadow Return has a 15 second window. Let’s be honest; you can’t get as far in 8 seconds as you can in 15 seconds.

Probably because you can move a small army with it.
Spectral Walk is pretty useless for anything other than jumping off cliffs in WvW and cheating in JPs.

Hmm, you are right. (I think it’s more to do with a balancing issue though)

Anet, please fix portal to have infinite range.

I think he means the utility shadow return. I say the utility should have infinite range and the weapon skill from sword main hand should be limited.

i want all teleport skills to have maximum 1200 range!
why only we are persecuted here ? ! ?

Shadow Return was hella OP I’m glad it got nerfed.

Still don’t think SR should’ve been “fixed”, but whatever. Nerfing everything into the ground only makes for a more dull game.

However, I don’t think that comparing the two skills was very accurate.
