State of the thief [Improvisation]
My Idea to balance:
Stealing recharges all skills of one type (venoms, signets, traps, tricks, or deceptions) one of your utility skills. Deal 10% 20% more damage while wielding a bundle.
guys why are you obsessed with “while wielding a bundle”
WE DON"T HAVE THEM ! period.
1. to make it worh while, it should refresh 1 utility you equipped randomly
so if you used SR, and steal, you have 33% chance to have it refreshed.
it’s not op, but would be usefull if you don’t have a full rack of signets you don’t use
The damage bonus while wielding a bundle would make a great ele/thief combo.
But yes, other then that there is no real value for this.
It is more like “oh, i have an elementalist in my group. for this dungeon i can change my +5% dagger damage into +20% damage with those elemental weapons”

and if you don’t have an ele in the party, or he doesn’t use conjured weapons ?
the you go for your +5% dagger damage.
It would be similar to the combo fields and finisher.
You might have a good blast finisher. But you get the most damage out of it when you have someone in your party with enough fire fields

That sounds like it could be abused to get around the longer cooldowns on certain skills, such as Shadow Refuge, Dagger Storm or Roll for Initiative.
After all, if all of my skills except one are out of cooldown, it will have to recharge the one that is in cooldown, right?
No, i think it should trigger one of the 3 utility skills regardless of being on cooldown or not.
Otherwise you rly would abuse it by only putting 1 skill on cooldown and then steal.
Steal was originally intended to act as a bundle. It changed. So this trait needs to be changed to still affect Steal in its current state. Something like increases the duration of your stolen skills by 20%.
As for the RNG recharge…it’s the only RNG we have. If this were an engi trait it’d make sense, but not thief. Maybe have it reduce the CD on all utilities that are currently on CD by 10% upon a successful Steal.

How about reducing all #7, #8 and #9 Current-on-Cooldown by 33%(?)
For example, if your Shadow Refuge is on CD and has 30sec more to go before it is ready and then you use Steal and then your Shadow Refuge’s CD will reduce to 20sec instead. It will happen to all 3 Utilities at the same time. IMO, trying to abuse this trait by using all 3 Utilities at the same time is not something a good Thief would do all the time.
They still haven’t fixed the Improvisation trait? FFS!
improvisation is a wasted trait. 1 in 5 steals may help you. generally thats the best odds you get bc u usually bring mostly same type which matchs your build. very rarely is 1 of each taken. only way id take it is if…i was running…

which is somethinmg i use in frac/dungeons alot….bc well its just amazing w/ my build and i rarely ever go down even on 50s frac. even so i dont have room to delve 20 points in DA. :/ its a crappy line.
