Guild Wars 2

Hi guys.

I’m a pretty new thief (lvl 12 right now), but I’m already starting to think about the gear I’ll have to get, focused on WvW.
People says PVT gear is the best one for WvW, but I’d hit too low with that gear in my opinion. I already have an engineer with a full PVT set and it hits quite low, tho it lasts long (as it should, of course). But I don’t want my thief to do the same.
My idea is having a intermedium set so I don’t hit like a truck but don’t last as a paper plane neither, but… is that worthy as a thief? Or should I just go full zerker?

I know thieves don’t have too much AoE, so I don’t really expect myself to be in the middle of the 234234 vs 983123 fights, but rather just spam some AoE (bow and that daggers elite skill maybe?) in the zerg and then focus “lonely” targets in the fight.

So what do you guys think?

For large scale WvW, I use Soldier’s armor and Berserker jewelry. I think it is a reasonable compromise for a Thief not running a backstab or condition build. Use consumables and your rune set to tailor for more dps or more tankiness as needed.

I go 100% zerk on everything. Do amazing damage. Just learn how to dodge and manage your /D 5. Win.
