Stats with knights gear
No point having Crit chance without crit damage. Best to mix in some zerker gear, or/and runes. Vitality is better than toughness, for us.

Thnx for the reply but that wasn’t the answer I was looking for >.>
Toughness gets you aggro in PvE. Generally, avoid it unless you want to tank.
Knights armor would be +224 Precision, trinkets +255, jewels +150, weapons +180, runes +165
totals 974 or +46% critical chance, with base and traited that becomes 65%

actually with no crit damage whatsoever a crit does 50% more damage than a standard hit before any other on crit bonuses or periphery effects are accounted for.
as such, unless one has a very high crit chance(over 100% with bonuses and whatnot).. 1% of crit chance is more beneficial than 1% of crit damage as far as average damage is concerned (when you DO account for on crit and other effects). One does not “need” crit damage to go along with crit chance or vice versa.
disclaimer: i did say 1% crit chance vs. 1% crit damage. i’m not making a statement about the precision stats on knight’s gear.
My Thiefs gear is:
Emerald Jewels and Accessories with the according Slot fillers. (+thoughness+prec+power)
My Armor is 6 Part Knight crafted Exotic. My runes are the one’s with Power, Precision and + Crit damage in the Armor. (if i get the money i aim for the Superior Rune of Divinity +10 on all stats with +2 crit damage each)
Got a Berserker Exotic Weapon(s) (+5Crit damage as head statt).
Power is around 1800,
Precision is around 2000
Toughness is around 1750,
Critical Damage bonus is: 22%. (when D/D).
Critical Chance is 56%
Health is around 15000.

Hi, I wanted to ask what kind of stats can knights gear achieve , I’m currently aiming towards around 50% crit chance 15k hp and as much power and toughness after that.
I have 50% with food buff atm (no sigils stacking or anything) using Soldiers armore/weapons. Emerald orbs in the armor. And knights jewelry.
Power increases crit damage too, doesn’t it? So why would power/crit not be worth it, you’re still increasing the damage done by crits.

In effect, yes. Power increases base damage. Crits normally hit for 200? % of the damage (not 100% sure on that figure). What crit damage does is increases that percentage. Further increasing the difference between the damage a normal hit vs a critical hit does.
basic crits hit for 150% (+50%) damage.
how to calculate the damage:
Expected damage = Base damage * (1 + (0.50 + (Critical Damage / 100)) * (Critical Chance / 100))
some calculations with 100 base damage per second:
with 50% crit chance:
100 * (1 + (0.50 + (0 / 100)) * (50 / 100)) = 125 dps => 25% more damage.
with 70% crit chance:
100 * (1 + (0.50 + (0 / 100)) * (70 / 100)) = 135 dps => 35% more damage.
with 50% crit chance and +50% crit damage:
100 * (1 + (0.50 + (50 / 100)) * (50 / 100)) = 150 dps => 50% more damage.
with 70% crit chance and +50% crit damage:
100 * (1 + (0.50 + (50 / 100)) * (70 / 100)) = 170 dps => 70% more damage.
About the base damage i am not to sure.
but i think increasing the power from 1500 to 2000 increses the base damage by like 33%
(with a 1000 damage wepaon)
just to give you a feel of how the values effect your damage.
hope it helps a bit

Yes, it does. You’d have to compare pieces of equipment, what’s the (average) damage with power on the ring and what with +crit damage. The latter is a percentage, at some power-point you may gain more by choosing the crit damage then by increasing power.
