Stay Stealth
Would be nice but I am pretty sure ANet designed this class to be a in-combat only stealth class…
Why?
In WvW and SPvP, this would alternate between useless and super-annoying.
In PvE, you already have so many alternatives for bypassing enemies. Why do you need it?
I really prefer it the way it currently is. Having to actively think about when I can use a few seconds of stealth to do what I need to is way more fun than most other implementations of stealth I’ve played.
It’s more active, less passive, and more interesting to me. I don’t miss stealth toggles.
The stealth mechanic in this game has really grown on me.
It definitely rewards players who use it intelligently.
Now way for us to stay stealth and walk around in the game. We should have a Stay stealth skill that has a 3 minute cool down or something. But if we attack the coll down starts on the timer. We can still use the heal stealth and stuff, just can’t go stealth for good for 3 minutes.
Actually we had such a skill in alpha.One year ago Hide in Shadows was a perma Stealth skill with 1 min CD,brake on attack.Later was changed on 15 sec Vanish+heal,brake on move.There was also an elite skill ,which is 8 sec Stealth EVEN if you are attacking :P.
