Anyone else have the problem of Steal not teleporting to the locked on target? Occasionally, in PvP/WvW mostly, steal wouldn’t teleport to the target but instead stay in place. I’d get the buffs and the cooldowns, but not the damage and healing it also can do. Is this a bug or is there something wrong with my thief? I know when sometimes you can’t steal like when they’re at someplace steal can’t reach, but when they’re on the same level terrain and in range of steal not behind anything it does get annoying.

It could possibly be due to the lag issues we’ve been experiencing – I’ve been having problems with most of my skills lately, steal being one of them, but as it’s a server issue (ddos recently, doesn’t feel like it got resolved) I get this on every class anyway. The lags spikes I’ve been getting is making everything wonky.

If they stealth right as I hit steal, I’ll see this. But most of my problems with steal are when it does shadowstep to the target, but doesn’t actually give an item, boons, endurance, etc.

Yep, been having some issues with it lately. I suspect lag.

If you have more than 100ms it is normal. Whole reason why i had to move to EU because they changed how teleports interact with high latency which results in teleport spells actually not teleporting you. As you see i have made this video in 2014 while being on US servers (having 160ms~), the issue has been the same since then.

Haha, i have been on EU for a while now (since begin of 2015 i think) and enjoying lovely 20-40 ms~ But yeah, the change was main reason why i was forced to leave NA servers.

I ran into this before and oh good lord did it screw me over in teef vs teef fights
