Well not anymore! Because I said so, and I’m gettin’ real tired of your kitten. Anyway, he’s two builds that won’t be affected much by the new changes and they are delightfully fun to play.

The premise of this build was to have a nice balance of armor and attack ratings. I’ve always been comfortable with builds that have 2500 armor or more because it gives you more staying power in fights. I don’t know if it is WvW buffs, but I play this build in rare armor and have more Health and Armor. Keep that in mind.

Also, you may see a now-common weapons set, but this is different because it’s not bunker. (0/10/30/30/0) I went for more damage at 10/30/30/0/0. Even without the initiative regen you can still obtain high stealth upkeep very easily.

Note you could also swap the Might on Signet for the CD reduction one.

Now this build started with the idea of making a p/d build that is not carrion, and is more bursty. It took me a few hours to balance stats, but I have found a nice way for it to work. Originally, the idea was to use 10/30/30 with pistol traits and the gear you see above. That lead to some very nice crits from Skill 1 and 3 though the burst just wasn’t always there. So I looked into balancing CNDDMG with Power.

It actually worked out well, good amount of armor, decent vitality and almost 2k power with 1.2k condition damage. Even with the stealth changes p/d won’t be affected much since you have to attack anyway. Just make sure you stay in stealth for three seconds before attacking for that condition removal. (It removes when entering stealth and every 3 seconds after.)

I’m too lazy to make names for them like my past builds. D; Have fun! Just ask if you have any questions, or if you have better idea for Sigils. I never am good with Sigils, so I just put Orbs or Crests most of the time.

Does anyone have a link to the thief nerfs? All I see is, “they are goona nerf”, “I saw in this video they talked about nerfs.”

I know they are going to fix Culling, but tbh I am quite happy about that. I can’t count the number of times I attacked 1 or 3 people that turned out to be 50.

State of the Game on GW2Guru, they’re going to make it so you get revealed every time you leave stealth.

Also it would behoove you to remember that CND builds as well as Thief mobility are receiving buffs. Devs have said that they want to give us more types of conditions. Here’s hoping you can do some burn damage.

They said they are thinking about it, thats not the same thing as giving them.

You said certain builds were “receiving buffs” they are not and they most likely won’t be in the foreseeable future if anets previous promises are to go by.

I believe they said the game would not feel like a grind… rather than saying “you will have a gear treadmill”. I’m sure they were talking about leveling not being a grind because you can get away with saying stuff like that as PR since it could have multiple meanings and could get people attracted to the game.
