Hello all,

I am rather new to playing thief, and I would like to try the D/P weapon set. Would someone please explain how to maximize stealth in this set up.

If maximize means “extended stealth time”, then go for BP-HS combo, do it away from opponents and without a target (and auto-target) so you can do 2-3 combos (need to turn quick) without hitting anything or you will get revealed.

If maximize means “better use of stealth”, then go for 30 trait points in SA for health regen, cond cleanse and extra ini on stealth…

Its a VERY ini heavy set-up and you will need traits to keep your ini pool going…

Sorry, ILobo, leT me explain my question better. I am most interested in how to get into stealth the most times. I love being able to go in and out of stealth.

well you need to have a decent ini regen for starters because you will need 9 to enter stealth. Black Powder = 6 and Heartseeker =3.

Then when you need/want to enter stealth just use that combo.
as soon as revealed wears off you need to have 9 ini available to stealth again.

I personally use the acrobatics trait that gives 2 ini every 10 sec and the one in shadow arts that gives 2 ini every time you enter stealth. You can also go for the signet that gives 1 ini every 10 sec but i personally don’t think it’s necessary i use as utilities, smoke bomb, shadowstep and signet of shadows. sometimes i use shadow refuge instead of the signet as well it depends on what i need.
