Stealthing Binding Roots
Because binding roots cause a condition called immobilize which is a condition.
If a memser is stealthing out of binding root then they are probably doing it with a torch which removes conditions when you stealth if traited a thief is removing immobilize because they are traited to remove condition from stealth.
If neither are traited to remove condition with stealth then neither will stealth out of the root and be able to move. They will just stealth but still be stuck.
I dont know anything about rangers but if you have remove condition on gs3 then you could get out of it.
Really its all about the condition removal a mesmer could do the same thing if they laid down null field if you put them in binding root they would walk out of it.

oZii is incorrect.
You can stealth out of binding roots without stealth condition removal of any kind.
I think what happens is that the binding roots lose their target and thus stop applying the immobilize. Binding roots is not one big long root. It requires a target to apply the root too every few seconds. Essentially you are getting root over and over while standing in a binding root. You have 3 choices, teleport, kill roots, stealth.
So if you get nailed by binding roots, just hit CnD, wait like 1-2s for the current application of immobilize to fade, then you can move. Just don’t run back into them out of stealth again.
Same goes for any noob ranger using this ability. If you see thief stealth at your binding roots you should be bursting that area for 1-2s. Maybe walk right over your roots again to try and trip the thief up again.
This game is and never will be IWIN cause I hit this 1 amazing button. Binding roots is still an amazing ability and gets me killed very often. You just can’t be a noob with it.

warriors have mobile strike in the discipline tree also
They should have to destroy it just like any other class has to. Imagine if I’m holding your hand, and you go stealth. Would I not be able to feel your hand anymore? Would it be so hard to make it act like longbow 2, where it can detect the target if they are binded before stealth?

This isn’t an issue for stealth. Any teleport does this to binding roots. The previous statement about how roots applies itself is correct.
If binding roots cannot find its target when it needs to reapply, it stops looking. Almost every class in the game can get out of it without breaking it. You simply must time your teleport/stealth to activate when the root needs to reapply itself. And, yes, you can do this with the ranger GS jump.
Stop trying to blame stealth for something any class can do.
