Guild Wars 2

So I have been playing thief since I had the game. He is level 35 right now. (I know I am slow at leveling). I don’t know if I should stick with him or make a warrior or guardian. I will probably only take one proff to max level. Just need help deciding. I know warrior is a berserker type, guardian is paladin type, and thief is sneaky rogue type but I just don’t know from a higher level perspective.
Any help with this decision would be great.

Are you having fun with the Thief? Really, that should be what decides this for you. If you’re not having fun, switch for sure. Maybe try playing some of the other classes up to level 10 or so to see how you like them. A lot of people are having great fun with the Thief, but if it isn’t floating your boat there is no shame in checking out another profession.

As for leveling speed, it sounds about right to me – there’s no point in racing to the end in this game, take your time, enjoy yourself, the game isn’t going anywhere and there’s no point in running to Endgame. I spend 1-2 hours a night just roleplaying with other characters and that gives you no xp, but it is a great deal of fun … do things at your speed and don’t let anyone tell you it’s wrong.

go in the heart of the mists, make a lvl 80 build for the classes that interest you,
go to the mobs around and test it, or in SPvP.

Thanks for the replies guys. I made a warrior and they seem slow and I died multiple times between the levels of 1-15 so maybe I am doing it wrong. But on my thief I pretty much never die with shadow refuge and caltrops.

Thief is just so fast with so many evasive/stealth/blinding moves. I see now that I love being able to control my fights and DB everything and stealth and watch them bleed to death. The mobility of the thief is unmatched and super enjoyable. Plus I can summon 2-3 of my buddys to destroy things.

Does necro do that just with constant undead and bleeds without the mobility?
