Guild Wars 2

In Wv3 last night I was holding onto a fear for a bit, so I stealthed into the front of an enemy zerg and popped it and it definitely seemed like I feared myself.

Has this happened to anyone else? Is it possible the fear I cast was overwritten by another player’s?

Suffice to say the ending was not pretty.

My guess is that there was some sort of spell-reflect mechanic going on. Not sure what that would be exactly but who knows. Maybe some necro just happened to roll over his fear button in just that second.

Necros have a trait that fears near by enemy’s when they get cc’d. This is what happened.

Reapers protection.

Don’t mesmers have a reflect CC as well?

Lol, that’s kind of funny if you think about it. Good thing it didn’t do that when you went for a back stab or something. I could only imagine the wtf look if you somehow back stabbed yourself.

Lesson to be learned: dont hold on to your fears!!

You must always use the fear you steal from a necro on that same necro you stole it from. Its for good luck.
