Struggling with thief. Advice?
Hard to advice, in pvp your role isn’t 1 vs 1 unless necessary, you should turn your team mates’ 1 vs 1 in 2 vs 1 instead.
The reason you do well in 1 vs 1 servers and not in pvp could be the simple fact that for 1 vs 1 people pick different builds than for point capture. The pvp in this game isn’t really that much about pvp like about bunking on points.
Record a video. Alot of times I die from making 1 or 2 mistakes like failing to interrupt or dodge in time. I have to think few steps ahead.
I’m going to try the video idea, so I can watch and see what mistakes I make. I think a lot of my issue is focusing too much on 1v1s to take the far point.

I suggest that you watch Sizer or Caed streams,it will give you the idea on how to play thief in conquest mode.
What Sandrox said. Watch Sizer or Caed streams.
And the way I look at a thief, it’s not my job to 1v1 in games, as someone said it’s my job to quickly rotate between points and turn 1v1s into 2v1s that end quickly. Another thing that I do if they continuously push one point is i rotate off a point and go to the one point they control and decap it, sometimes full cap it if no one shows up to relieve pressure off another point. I generally try to avoid 1v1s unless I know I can end the fight quickly, or if I know someone is coming to back me up on a point we control already. Especially true when decapping, if someone shows up to fight for the point I usually peel out and head to the point that was under pressure to help turn the tide of the fight. And as a thief you have amazing mobility to move across map quickly.
Thieves in simple 1v1 are strong, because they can just disengage whenever they make mistake or got low, and eventually enemy will make mistake and you will kill him.
in actually battlefield, you can’t do that, if you just disengage, enemy will have the point.
and the fight is more concentrated in a small circle and enemy is more of a defensive stance instead of offensive like in simple 1v1s.
Another option is try out a different build and see how you perform on that. Like, switch from s/d to like d/d sniper and see how you do on that. It may just be you need a different build to suit the situation you’re in.
