Pretty much as the title; how effective are the thieves summoned using either Ambush or Thieves Guild? Are the thieves summoned by these two skills the same or are the ones summoned by the elite skill more powerful? What sort of damage output can they generate?

Your Thieve’s Guild mooks are more powerful than your Ambush lacky, but they are on a longer rotation as well. I find that there is a lot more I can solo with those two skills than I can without them. Neither are nearly as good as you – of course – but they draw aggro really well and put out enough extra damage to turn a fight around.

That’s interesting that the boys from Thieves Guild are more powerful than the lackey from Ambush. Thanks for the response.

The two kinds of thieves seem about the same strength to me, but thieves’ guild thieves last longer and you get two. If you take thieves guild, ambush, and the trait that drops an ambush trap when you revive someone, you can have 4 thieves up at once. It’s pretty awesome.
