Sup. Trapper runes = too much Stealth?
Do you use traps?
The Dhuumfire thread
It’s a trap!
Or you know, you can run shadow refuge.
Has anyone tested the new Superior Trapper rune set yet? With the 3 second Stealth on traps, + SR, + Blinding Power, + Black Power / Heartseeker combo, + Cloak and Dagger, + Hidden Thief trait, + Meld in Shadows trait bonus (+1 extra second Stealth to everything), + Master of Deception trait bonus (20% faster recharge on SR and Blinding Power. Do you guys feel Stealth is more OP now that the rune set let Traps grant an additional Utility skill for Stealth?
You can be the first thief trap player I’ve seen in a long time.
I tested them, hilarity.
umm… why would you use hidden thief when you plan on proccing stealth through weapon skills? hell, why would you have a D/P + x/D weapon combo?
more importantly, why would you use a trap, or dedicate an entire rune set (a condi rune set!) to traps?
also, blinding powder is a trick, not deception.
they design it for the ranger not for the thieves
but thinking now of the p/p build with 2 traps mmmm….
Previously, if your traps did any damage (i.e. Needle Trap), they’d reveal you on activation. Unless Anet fixed that, the stealth on trap wouldn’t be very reliable.
Thief builds running these runes wont be any stronger or stealthing any more than current thief specs. Just means a thief will just be entering stealth in a different way. Also I would be happy if majority of thiefs I ran into where trap specs.
Runes are really good option for ranger.
