Full set of 5 unique skills for both dual-wield weapon sets: P/P and D/D – Make it happen
PvE – DD/CS/AC – If that didn’t work, roll a Reaper or Revenant.
I don’t own this rune but I’m curious about several things. The rune set #6 states that the next attack is a crit after a dodge while in combat. So I have several questions;
- Does this rune’s will make my Bound damage crit?
- Or the next attack after Bound even though bound hit?
- Does it trigger on Mug?
- Does it apply to the whole skill (i.e. Pistol Whip, Fist Flurry) critting each hit or just the first hit?
- Does it trigger on Whirling Axe (stolen item)?
- Does it apply to Impact Strike/Uppercut/Finishing Blow or just Impact Strike?
- Does it trigger on Throw Items?
TL;DR
- What is considered an “attack”?

1. No, it procs on attacks AFTER bound
2. no mater if bound hit or not, it will have 100%
3. Doesn´t proc on mug, it can´t crit
4. Just the first hit, so not the whole damage
5. It does, but only on the first hit, not on all
6. like whirling axe, only on the first hit after your dodge
7. Yes, but only on the first damage after dodge
What is an attack. Eyerything that woudl dom damage, CC, etc.
For example, if you use bound with daredevil-rune. Next bound-dodge does damage, so it will crit with 100%.
Coronit answered most questions so just a bit more to add for those that might have questions.
The Crit gained will not stack,. It will overwrite. So as example if you dodge twice in a row you only get one attack that crits. The first is lost if you did not attack.
This is also true of Sigil of Intelligence. Assume you have dodged and swapped weapons right after using that sigil. You will only get three crits off the Sigil, the one you had from the dodge is lost. The same works the other way too. If you have three crit stacks due to sigil of intelligence and immediately dodge. You will not get 4 crits in a row. the three from the sigil will be overwritten and be lost.
It my opinion that this should stack given they already on a timer of about ten seconds wherein they lost if not used within that period of time. This would help to make the runes more effective with a wider variety of weapons like those unloads.

i tried that rune at the beginning of HoT and i recall it having a bug consuming the crit buff on steal with mug trait despite it cant crit, not sure if that still exists, thats not very significant though since you will always want to combo your steal during the bound animation to get a guaranteed bound on top of your target for damage + its great for disarming traps and marks without taking the initial damage
also there is one more bug which still exists, the crit buff after you dodge in combat says it lasts for 10 seconds but in reality once 5 seconds have passed you are not guaranteed to crit anymore, despite the buff stays there you cant consume it, i have reported that several months ago but player support specialist told me to go on thief forums and cry about it there, quality game staff confirmed

While I do tend to use my attack right after a dodge , I am pretty sure I was getting 10 seconds after a dodge to do so. I shall have to check again.
Thanks guys, those answers helped a lot.
About the Mug, I know that it cannot crit but if it is considered as an attack, then it can consume the proc without critting — I wasn’t sure.
About the Bound, so if I Bound twice and both hit the target, does the second Bound crits? I believe it should, but I’m not sure.
Thanks again.
The guaranteed crit is applied after the damage part of the dodge, so if you just bound repeatedly at the target then all but the first are guaranteed to crit. Mug used to consume the crit but I don’t know if that was patched, and be aware that air/fire procs will obviously also consume the crit which could mess up your backstab attempt. That should be less of an issue if you’re playing a low precision build though.
I played the runes last time I played staff and they were quite nice, shame that the effect was essentially single target though (it only guarantees a crit on the first target hit with an attack that cleaves, not on all targets).

I guess I can live with that only because it’s a very good match to a Valk gear so I won’t need to use Soldier anymore.
