Hi guys
As theif has low Vitality , I will use Sentinel gear to get Toughness and Vitality as much as possible.
Is healing power important to me ?
This is my build http://tinyurl.com/mj7stf8
As you can see , I tried to maximizethe initiative amount and regeneration and the healing granted by stealth .
Any suggestions to increase my survivability ?

Don’t rely on your gear to reduce damage. In PvE, dodging is the best tool to reduce damage, and against players (whether it be WvW or sPvP) stealth can be abused to no end. Traits are what makes a Thief ‘bunker’, so if you want to survive more I would look at that first.
In short, just build enough vitality and toughness to not die instantly and you should be fine. And don’t use Sentinel gear because then you will have horrible damage. Not only does it only have one offensive stat, it isn’t even the main stat like for normal P/V/T gear.
Edit: I only have 14k hp, and that is more than enough for most encounters in PvE or WvW. A large health pool is overrated, especially if you cannot maintain it. If you absolutely want to stack defensive stats I would just go for toughness with a bit of vitality somewhere, but don’t use Sentinels (use Soldier’s gear as power is the main stat). Knight (P/P/T) or Cavalier (P/Critdmg/T) is okay too.

Thanks for your help bro.
I have made some changes on gear >> http://tinyurl.com/mj7stf8
Any other advices on my traits or skills ?

I would say get the Shadows Embrace trait if u want survivability… its amazing
and as Sunflowers said u should really mix some knight or cavalier
You are a thief with ur traits the best way to stay alive is dodge and Oh boy u can dodge A LOT much better than some more vit cause u wont be able to sustain it
I know Dps isnt ur goal but u should have some way to deal damage to be of some help on fights since u will never be a guardian that can just bunk everything and heal/support others like they do
What im trying to say is trade some vit for Dps, Toughness is way more important when tanking and Use your dodges u have plenty of them
One more thing… i dont see how Shadow Trap can help a lot in PvE just go with Roll or Shadowstep or smoke screen for team play
With some changes > http://tinyurl.com/l3mgonj
I have turned all my gear into Knight. I got the shadow trap to maximize stealth duration as it recharges my initiatives and heals me much.
Or should I mix zerker with knight ? what about healing power as I got much healing resources from ( traits and skills ) ?
Thank you all from your help

If you want some survivability, try swapping your runes for Melandru runes and your food for Lemongrass soup. That will reduce incoming condition duration by 65%, and reduce incoming stuns by 25% (as well as adding 70 vitality).
Edit: Even with all that armor, with no condition removal and health that low, conditions will devour you.
You might also want to swap out the sigils of battle for sigils of energy, if you are going totally defensive. That extra 50% endurance on weapon swap will go a long way, and synergizes well with leaping death blossom’s evade component.
Tbh, with all that toughness, I was expecting a condition build.

I use a variation of this venomblind build I made a while back.
(I cant seem to edit it to add the changes)
Main thing is I use runes of svanir along with last refuge, this makes me stealth and invuln for 4 – 5 secs when I go under 20% health. I use full soldiers and run alongside our frontliners right in the thick of it, rotating 5, 1, 1, 1, 1, 5, 1, 1, 1, 1 with an AOE 5 person blind every 3 seconds + 3 second single target daze.
Usually the last man standing tbh. -condi duration food means I dont really need shadows embrace too. Also steal a nice 20ish seconds of prot from the first guardian I see. Not to mention the venoms are great to spread among the frontliners, and the damage aint half bad, 1kish on most, 2 – 3k a swing on glasscannons. Pretty bad for solo roaming though.
Edit: Btw if you find yourself with 15 stacks of bleed just hit infiltrators strike to remove.
