So I realize this already sounds stupid on account of s/d having no condition attacks… But I’ve been playing s/d from the beginning purely for enjoyment, but have recently gotten into spvp and started trying different builds. I ended up really liking trickery for the major decrease in the steal recharge. I love the mobility it gives and all the boons you can pass on to teammates make it an especially strong move. But this leaves 30 points going into condition damage and up till recently I never used anything with that so it was wasted.
But I decided to try using a 25,0,0,15,30 build to embrace the condition damage with some more duration and run venoms along side the sword which I mostly use for the evade and very strong boon ripping you get from the #3 ability. I find I get pretty good survivability while I steal Boons and buff teammates, all while pretty decent condi damage ticks away.
So I guess my question is has anyone played around with anything this counterintuitive before and is there any chance of having success with this in higher lvl pvp?
Also is improvisation bugged? A steal with a 21sec cooldown that resets venoms seems very desirable but I haven’t gotten it to work… Does it randomly pick what type to reset regardless of if you are running all one type of skill?
