Guild Wars 2

Am creating a Sylvari Thief. First time on both. Am having a hard time choosing the personal story questions at creation. I can’t seem to decide which to choose, White Stag or Shield of the Moon. Which is more fitting for a Thief? in rping. I went with Cycle of Night if that helps. Thanks in advance.

Neither really iirc, but Shield over Stag.

In my opinion, the stag storyline fits the “adventurer” persona, while the shield storyline has more of a “protecting the innocent” theme. I enjoyed them both equally.

I chose Stag on my first Thief, it has a great story if betrayal, very fitting for a Thief.

Btw, I’m not going to just tell you to roll a human, but if you’re the kind of person that cares about armour aesthetics then be sure to check out the high level armours you can get before choosing a Sylvari. There really is no way to make a Sylvari look good because the cultural armours can’t be mixed with regular armour like the human cultural armours can. I regret rolling a Sylvari for this reason.
