I really liked this Red Levon guy. Sozer is good too.
Sizer farms every thief on EU, the only reason Levin killed sizer its because he was sitting in stealth forever and waiting to get that spike off.
And those 2 thieves never dueled, it was just the D/P trying to gank sizer while he is in a team fight. Sizer would 100-0 Levin in a actual 1v1.

What i meant was not actual duel between Sizer and Red Levon but clash of two of them in seperate teams. Red Levon performance was more meaningfull becouse he was able to insta down players while Sizer did steady but only moderete dmg which resulted in not so many downs compered to Levon’s.

…as it’s expected by a S/D thief vs a D/P in 1v1.

Well actually D\P counters S\D in an 1v1 fair situation.
Sizer is a god with S\D
S\D can disengage much better and has better team fight presence and of course mobility
but they’re a lot stronger
than they will be next year!

It’s still Levin.

No, that’s exactly what SD excels in. DP counters SD only on a team fight because the DP can get a stealth engage if the SD us not aware. In a true 1v1, SD >>> DP.
After watching the matches and for the first time seeing both of these thieves I think Red Levin played a lot better in general and definitely had more presence with d/p panic strikes, especially to Helseth. I didn’t really notice the damage Sizer was doing while Red Levin would kill or set up a kill on whoever he engaged on. Red did take a risk running a much more squishier build then Sizer, but he played quite well and even killed Sizer multiple times in a 1v1 so well played to Red.
Retired.

Well, Levin might have a better burst (which is also very situational) but he can’t do what sizer does to hold a point neutral longer time than Levin or to even hold a point on the colour of the team until help arrives:
On Forest of Nifhel, MiM uses portal to come back midd and bursts down Rom with moa, Sizer arrives fast enough to STAY ON POINT until Tage and Rom (ressed up) arrive on point again.
That is for me more valuable than make a high burst at specific moments.
A Few Things
RedLevin is the man – and d/p is more manly than s/d – The burst is real
Those were some amazing matches

Tage and Rom are carrying so hard here, clearly not decided by the “better” thief and clearly not decided by the “better” memer.
let’s make something clear here, d/p doesn’t counter s/d and s/d doesn’t counter d/p. both sets have plenty of ways to handle each other but neither set has a definitive mechanic that puts them clear above the other. put two players of equal skill against each other with one playing d/p and the other s/d, and the results will be very inconsistent both ways.

Dp has a clear advantage in a duel setting. It has access to more stealth making easier for dp to get the first strike. When its a battle between squishies thats very important. Dp also has more burst and headshot/black powder are the icing on the cake.

I sort of disagree. S/D usually has Withdraw which is an instant heal and can’t be interrupted. So Headshot isn’t that strong against that set. But D/P offers a ton of blinds, stealth on demand and higher burst.
I think both sets are really good, but they serve two completely different roles in PvP – which both Sizer and Red Levin performed excellently at!
