- Infiltrator’s Strike: This skill now grants 3 seconds of swiftness when cast, in addition to its previous effects.

- Infiltrator’s Return: Lowered the aftercast by 0.2 seconds.

- Larcenous Strike: This skill now deals 20% bonus damage to boonless foes. This damage is calculated after the boon strip takes place.

- Flanking Strike (Sword Attack): This attack is now unblockable.

- Flanking Strike (Spear Attack): This skill has been renamed to Flanking Dive, to eliminate confusion with similarly named skills and traits.

- Tactical Strike: This skill has been unsplit and now dazes for 2 seconds in all game modes when attacking from behind. Increased the damage by 33%.

- Dancing Dagger: Now applies 1 stack of torment for 6 seconds, in addition to its previous effects.

- Pistol Whip: Increased the stun duration to 0.75 seconds. Added an additional warning effect to Warmup. Reduced the number of flurry hits from 8 to 4, to match the animation. Flurry damage has been increased by 100% to compensate.

Grab your long sheets of metal folks, time to rip those blocking pests apart.

Swindlers trait, some of the stolen items changes, and dancing dagger have me excited to get back home to my sword/dagger. Still a week and a half out of town though, getting salty reading these posts. I’d be more excited about the different Haste changes but I’m not sure if they’ll naturally come into play more, trait is on same cool down and I don’t think the utility will edge into a spot over other stuff yet.

It’s always been good for pve. I stopped using staff ages ago and went back to S/P.

I have to give credits to anet, they revived a dead weapon set in pvp, now it is actually enjoyable.

Yeah we’re all in unranked testing new builds and I know s/d won’t be meta until they nerf d/p but it feels like the old s/d, quickly high damage boon rip and hard to kill.

The PW change is partially a nerf. The stun duration is nice but going down to 4 hits instead of 8 means fewer chances to proc on crit sigils and a reduced effect from IP.

I have been playing with S/d all night. It fun. The difference noticeable. I even went Core with it and it more then just a little viable. I think I am going to sit in a core build for a bit and get used to no DrD so I can prep for DE.

SA/Acro/tr is what I have been trying. CS might interest me as well.

That’s a good idea. I might stop using DrD for a while too, so it’s not a big shock once DE comes out.

i stopped playing beserker for this reason, although core warrior was still pretty viable in temrs of roaming. not sure how much of a gap is compare to DD and core thief. will go back to Da/acro/tri for a starters.

I never went DrD because it’s hard to get away from the 3 dodges. Did they say what will happen to daredevil when PoF comes out?

Yeah. Slightly concerned with the strike # nerf to PW. It added a lot of tankability to Thieves with SoM, but still, interested in to see the rest.

I would take PR over the vigor trait as I found between BT and the vigor on evade from feline grace you tend to get vigor close to full time.If you get a steal reset you get vigor again out of BT. The added condition cleanse from PR along with regen for ongoing health might be better for you.

Thats said CORE s/x is real and fun testing.

started to play core s/d in wvw again. funny thing is you get 36% boon duration with durabilty runes + the trait in acro lol. makes stealing boons last for ages now
