Than use it. The presence of p/p does not preclude you using your melee sets. I kind of think 10k unloads from range are rather handy and I see a whole lot of thieves dropping dead at melee to one single swing because they failed a dodge.

Needle trap dealt nearly poison 1800dmg now it is 1100
Bleeds are 10% weaker on trap too.
Venoms where used to intensify trap damage.
Made it perfect for mesmers and guardians.

I see. So you fought oppnents who allowed the total poison duration to run its course without a cleanse. That is interesting.
All you have to do now to make up for that is add one more stack of poison. it not that hard.
As to your bleed ticks , once more traps add vulnerability so they tick 5 percent higher per trap. Add one more stack of five from a trap (or cnd or bodyshot) and you are ahead of your old bleed ticks.
Now that is not all a trap adds if you trait properly. it also adds 5 stacks of might per trap again this adds to your damage per tick.

Please provide the link to the post where bleed and poison damage was lessened. The formula for bleed and poison damage as far as i can see as not changed since patch .
Poison as example is :: New damage over time: 3.5+(0.375*Level)+(.06*Condition Damage) as per patch notes and remains this.
the stack of poison one gets off a trap does as much damage per tick as the stack of poison one gets off a dagger AA. If you are level 80 and get 110 damage per tick off poison than your condition damage is 1275.
Since patch , in order to have received 180 damage per tick from poison you would need condition damage close to 2500.
In order for the poison damage to have been cut nearly in half as you claim then the either the formula has changed from the original June 23 patch notes (which has not occurred as far as I can see) or the number of stacks of poison coming off needle trap was changed. To my recollection it always applied one stack so I want your evidence that such not the case.
Oh and venoms did not intensify trap damage. The amount of damage coming from the trap was not related to venoms unless one traited Venomous strength for more might. Venomous strength remains.

If you’re trying to use these runes as a primary source of damage, you’re going to be disappointed.
-Using them as CC/opening stealth without having to c/d is a huge plus. People will chase you into a laid trap. They cannot help it.
-Using Withdraw with this runeset = win.

I only ever slotted traps due to the runes giving stealth on trap use it should have been a trait. Thief doesn’t build in damage in utilities anyway it was always defense/utility damage came from steal and weapons due to initiative. That’s why signets and deceptions see more gameplay than the rest.
Once the Trapper Runes came out I was sure that I will never use a trap in PvP for once unfortunately it was WvW>PvP.

I used traps on my Thief and they didn’t outright destroy anyone.
Needle trap is not an iWin button.
Besides, Needle Trap can now add vulnerability (increasing condition damage/basic damage by %5) AND might (increasing condition damage to 150).
Needle trap is actually a lot better than it used to be.
How is it people get moderated for tiny things but this post and nearly everything the OP said in it is still here?
Hey guys i was joking about them being nerfed right, yeah i dont depend on it to win it gets my opponent down to 60% but it will puncture their regens and then once i unload stealth attack i have to dodge a lot
In pvp no i do not use trapper runes i used something else i will not say what, i have tried a few things of course. Trapper runes are just the greatest thing for me in wvw on a thief
