The Bandit(specialist Idea)
Ok. First of all: I like the idea, no doubt. having versatility and beeing able to adapt to every situation would be cool, however:
-Im not sure if this fits the thief class. The ‘weapon specialist’ has always been more the warriors/engineers thing. I think elite specs should focus around evolving an aspect of the original class, and weapon diversity is no aspect of the thief.
-What skins would the weapons use?
-Would allies, who use the dropped weapon suddenly gain initiative as a combat ressource?
Most promising about the idea is, that thieves would no longer be forced to use utility weapons. But i would like to take a look at some specific skills/traits.
Utility 2 (btw, think of some cooler names for your stuff, it’d be much nicer to read)
-This simply wont do. You cant say, a target should take 20% more damage.
-You could inflict multiple stacks of vulnerability, like the similar skill on warrior.
-Also: the trait. You do not make a trait that only benefits a single (utility) skill. I dont know if there are any in the game, i hope not.
Utility 3: Big button ‘cleanse all conditions and get shiny stuff for it’
-Again, it does not work that way.
-To stick to the concept of the skill, how about the opposite: consume weapon stacks (max:5), cleanse a condition for every stack consumed.
Elite: I dont quite get the concept of the skill, how is it related to the profession? It also seems very pvp exclusive.
Minot trait one (you might also want to look into your terminology regarding traits)(https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Trait)
-weakness, how long, what icd? This could be a potentially very powerful one, it’d be important to know about this stuff.
Minor trait three: Depending on the boon prioritization and icd, this is potentially very powerful or utterly useless. Again some details would be nice.
Major trait one: Intiative. It does not make a whole lot of sense to gain endurance by using random weapon skills. This way it would also become benefical, to use your normal weapon, and then swap to another one, wich would essentially be on full cd without ini reg.
Major trait 2: Im not quite sure what you mean, if it means ‘inflict a random condition’ ouch. As in any of the beforementioned, this depends on icd, but it would likely be pretty strong. If i had this on my d/d i would rip every non-guard apart.
Sorry for sounding very negative, but there is no much use in listing things and saying: this could work pretty well. So im only adressing the outstanding issues.
And in the end: You forgot your healing skill
You forgot to add the typical ‘all skills of category x have reduced cooldown, and…’ trait
You should also describe the weapon skill of your professions weapon. Thats the fun part after all.

Nah it cool giving all negative feed back honestly i just thought weapon swapping idea would be cool i kinda wing making rest in say an hour to throw idea out there.
you make a lot of strong points over all i am sure more people could put input in to it.
way i understand specialist is one class learning from another. so this could be thief learning from engi
.
