I’m rigth on the target and there is no dmg. The skill goes on CD. Something is very wierd. Was not like this before.

It feels longer than 1s as the cooldown only starts after backstab’s aftercast, which is pretty lengthy. So if you 5>2>3>1 and miss the backstab, a build without SA will likely not be able to recast before stealth expires.

It does feel longer. I have managed to do it twice however.

You can get it up to twice if you immediately use it when gaining stealth; otherwise it’s once-per.

That’s a good point actually. It’s been so long since I’ve played SA in a build, sorry for the misinformation.

Some DH (hardcounter to thieves) was complaining in s3 that thieves could break his aegis with backstab.
Helseth attempts to farm anet team in pvp match on stream on his thief.
Next thing we see is Anet nerfing all thief weapon sets – nice balancing principles here.

I think Helseth farming anet was completely worth all the nerfs.
