I say near ultimate because I have no access to burning, and this build is to assassinate players with little to no condi cleanse in under 3 seconds (thus far, successful). I thought I’d share.

Note: This is still not a 1v1 build. This is a drop and run build- you either kill them or they fight back, then you run.

How it works: Load up condis, drop on someone, see the condi cleanse in effect if any. If too much to take them out instantly, find another target for the match. If not, take note of who they are and proceed to focus them any time you can. Ideally, you want 1-3 targets PER MATCH that you can drop this on. So far, I have had this work perfectly.

Teamfights: Shortbow 4 is your friend, try to get either warrior whirling axe (combo finisher so good) OR engi gunk. Drop poison in the thickest part of the teamfight, whoever drops first- drop another poison + stolen item. You do not want to go melee’ing in this ring- you are actually squishy still. However, the perma poison along with high per second damage for them being together leads your team to winning most teamfights (including -1s).

Strengths: Taking target(s) down within seconds. Being an undeniably strong presence in teamfights. Decapping. +1ing. Stealth Rez. All that standard thief meta, but you can take people down almost instantly (and they will randomly bust high cooldowns like rampage…oddly enough…).

Weaknesses: Cannot stay in a 1v1 for long and will vaporize if focused on for more than 1-2 seconds.

Request to Anet: I am missing ONLY burning (I will swap probably SA for daredevil to get condi daggers tbh). Have sneak attack apply burning per shot (duration 1-2 seconds). Then pistol/dagger is fantastic. But I know that won’t happen =/, I just wish.

Why executioner ? It does little for the build. Consider potent poison or Improv. Improv resetting venoms is killer. 33 percent extra poison will be noticed.

Mug really only provides that heal. Consider trappers respite because as you trigger skelk you will get access to more conditions via the dropped trap. now if you trigger stealth while right next to the target he will get that drop otherwise it handy to keep between you and the victim.

So as example when ready Steal>skelk (immobs poisons bleeds confusion) >shado strike away (torment) load up rest.

You also might like scavnger more than Undead. This will kick in another lifesteal on using skelk but will come at a cost of some condition damage due to viatlity.

Edit: I misclicked my earlier one- autopilot tendency to hit executioner. Took your suggestion though and now heal = lots of stuff.
