Thieves before HoT was a likable class bcoz of its high dps and speed. Since HoT the games move towards being more a fast paced style of play (which is fine, don’t get me wrong).

But condi classes are quite the norm now (which is also fine) due new possibilities for most, if not all classes. Theifs dont have much condi clearing unless u trait or use shadow arts (and one in the new daredevil) line or runes or sigils which significantly reduces our dps output, if we take these options. I feel like we either have to take these changes to be viable in pvp and I know anet is trying to promote more diversity, so this may be beneficial. I am aware that highly skilled theives will choose their battles, opportunities and uses possible traits or weapons like sword to deal with heavy condi classes but overall i feel like the theif community in pvp has dropped.

Heres my suggestion: CONSUME PLASMA (mesmer steal – gives all boons but doesnt include the newly formed boon resistance – now a 10 sec resistance may be too op but even a 3-5 second resistance would be helpful)

Shadowstep/shadow return – used to break stun, mobility, disengage and condi clearing however, the 3 conditions only clearing wen you head back. So you either have to run away with the condis on you or clear em and head back to a hot zone. Would it be better for shadow step to clear 2 conditions and return to clear 1 (so its still 3 but divided up)?
