Since I’m bored I thought about theory crafting builds with Daredevil for pvp right now.
Equipment: S/D, Staff or Sb. (use staff for increase dps while still having a decent movement skill, or use Sb for the utilities and the increase of movement of SB 5.)
Amulet/sigils/runes: Marauder. Air and fire on S/D then for Staff/SB energy and Air. Rune: Pack or Vamperism
Utilities: Withdraw, Shadowstep, Signet of Precision,Bandit’s Defense Impact Strike. (I took Bandit’s Defense over Shadow Refuge since SR is now useless if u need to dodge in it which is usually the case because the moment SR goes down it usually gets bombed with aoe’s and the Grandmaster traits dodges will take u out of the SR aoe. Also Bandit’s Defense is better than infiltrator’s signet since it’s a stun break on a 15 sec cooldown does a little damage and provides a knockdown)
Traits:
Deadly Arts/Acrobatics/Daredevil
Deadly Arts – Mug, Panic Strikes, Executioner/Improvisation
Acrobatics- Vigorous Recovery,Hard to Catch, Don’t Stop
Daredevil- Evasive Empowerment, Escapist Absolution, Unhindered Combatant/Bounding Dodger( depending on what you want. do u want constant swiftness while having the great combo of don’t stop and Unhindered Combatant. This pretty much makes you never have immob,chill and cripple on you letting EA cleanse the actual damaging condi’s. Or Bounding Dodger for the DPS but still having a good cleanse while still having barely any hindering condi’s effecting you.)
Of course you lose the usefulness of trickery for your steal but instead your now trading it in for more damage and evades out the kitten .

With trickery you’re all about your thief mechanics you won’t be doing any damge with steal and you won’t be getting extra damage or rng recharge but you will have a nice stun.
I could go into all the condi spec that Daredevil has opened up to and how S/P can now use all it’s control’s because bounding dodge gives it a chance to go invis but others can build that up. but i’m personally really excited about Daredevil it can really give thief a lot build diversity. We can be condi with it we can be control base we can be evading thieves again, and we already had burst from stealth thieves, so we might have a great varity in builds instead of just one ^^.
