• Im posting this again because my previous post was locked, so this time I removed the post issues, would this post be better on the bugs section ?

Here is a video that shows the skills:

-Tripwire
-Needle trap
-Smokescreen

These are rectangular AOE skills which doesn’t work as intended.

Yeah the aoe of our traps should be fixed, because isn’t rectangular but squared and only in the center of the trap.

Wow, i really didnt know about these issues. Ok yes I dont use the skills but this game has been out for months and this is an amazing find.

Yeah, it is the reason I haven’t even bothered trying to think about trap builds.

Thieves have trap utilities?
I’ve never seen a thief use one. No wonder I never knew this information.
I thought they only had signets and venoms.

Anet really needs to start fixing these game defining bugs.

I run at least one trap plus scopion wire all day. Pulling someone into a trip wire then steal/bs spam hs is so funny. I completely forgot about my Ranger trap build. Yes, they have problems but they are so much fun.

So, that explains all the times I used the trap and it didn’t seem to work. I attributed that to people dodging through them but it was just them walking through the sides XD

Why Moderators have closed the previous post? They can write something about that and then close it not close without a reason.

Tripwire issues.

That’s a quite informative video for demonstrating bugs with those skills. Thanks a bunch for making it!
Oh, and I can confirm the error with Smoke screen. Haven’t really tried neither Tripwire nor Needle trap though.
But say, did you test Ambush and Shadow Trap too?

No I didn’t try those but I will. Im guessing i’ll get the same results since the skills have the same AOE areas than the ones on the video, i’ll post the results.

I already checkd em and those skills have the same issue
