Yeah it’s unfortunate, but at this point I just want to be able to know the elite spec, I’ve waited enough.

Scythe was a Dervish weapon. However, I believe other classes could use it too. Don’t quote me.

By dervish I believe but a scythe skin could translate to staff in GW2 anyway I’m not looking forward to it.

I’m not saying there won’t be a POI this weekend, but I don’t really think it’s going to be an elite spec reveal. I’d love to be surprised, though.

Yeah, I really hope we get the thief elite this weekend. The melee staff hype for me is real.

I can’t stand the wait anymore, not just for this, but for really any kind of HoT news. It’s been so slow going that I feel like we aren’t going to see the expansion until 2017 if we’re lucky.

I hope it’s this year. Obviously 2017 is a gross exaggeration, but I definitely feel that the information has been really slow-going. I mean, currently GW2 feels kind of… dead, as much as I’d hate to say it. There’s been nothing in the gem store in the way of sales or promotions for like, what, 45 days and counting? No character slot sales? No bank tab sales? No outfit sales? No hair kit or total makeover kit sales? No sales of any kind whatsoever?

I’m still playing, of course, but it’s weird going this long with literally NOTHING going on in all of Tyria. I suppose it could be attributed to Anet working on HoT, but that just seems like the go-to reason to explain anything at this point, as if they have absolutely no room for any other part of the game right now. Not even promotions in the store.

I dunno, I guess I’m just sort of ranting right now. Here’s hoping for a surprise thief elite spec reveal this weekend.

Only time will tell. Tomorrow moment of truth. And honestly i wont be surprised if we don’t see a teaser video. They didn’t do it for Elementalist, so they are staying consistent with their inconsistency. Hats off to them. But i’m sure the go to excuse will be they’re working really kitten HoT and have no room for anything else.

It’s the thief elite reveal, stands to reason that we wouldn’t see it coming :P

But yeah, bored of waiting for HoT. Frankly they shouldn’t have announced it until they’d actually made some of it.

Edit: Just checked it out, they announced HoT in January. This is not how you build hype. THIS IS HOW YOU KILL ENTHUSIASM FOR YOUR PRODUCT.

Considering ANet is still working on the Warrior, it’s increasingly likely it’s the thief reveal next.

Of course, it could be the forge or the druid too :p

There will be no elite spec reveal tomorrow. They will instead do a big reveal discussing all the masteries coming with HoT. Next week or the following one should (hopefully) be the next elite spec reveal. And based on my sixth sense, it will be either ranger or thief.

This is all based on my reasoning that I’m too lazy to discuss lol, so take it with a grain of salt, but I find thief elite spec tomorrow highly unlikely.

Edit: Just checked the front page, and a couple hours ago they announced that the poi will cover masteries. Will it be complete? who knows, but its not a thief reveal tmr.

I don’t get why people want rifle thief so much. Goes completely against the stealthy feel of the thief. The rifle is a huge gun that requires accurate and long cast time shots. Staff would most likely be used as melee similar to a monk’s bo staff. Sword off hand is also relatively stealthy since it fits the Asian hack and slash leap out and spin in circles flailing swords thing. Rifle, however, has never been seen as a martial arts weapon or an assassination item. In real life, single shot rifles (which I assume are used in gw2 since they all have a flintlock design even though there is no reload) design have been used by militia for front line troops. An assassin in a time period like in gw2 would not use a rifle… too big, clunky, loud, and non-stealthy. The assassins nowadays use them as sniper rifles and use silencers, which are only on the legendary. Plz #norifles
