I just saw a bunch of people talking about Thief nerfs in a couple of weeks…
Is this more ‘Nerf Thief’ bullkitten or are we actually getting nerfed?
Larcenous Strike will steal 1 boon instead of 2.
Don’t know about other nerfs.
Oh as long as it’s Sword nerfs I don’t mind lol xD I find Sword pretty boring tbh…
I will be okay with it if the cost is reduced back down to 1.
Since they are making it one boon I believe they should reduce it back down to 1 initiative to. Boons are powerful in pvp and make engineers and guardians very hard to kill while warriors do tons of damage because of their various boons.
Thieves aren’t exactly powerful in pvp, atleast nothing like warrior or necro at the moment so I really hope they don’t nerf us again, as all we ever get is nerfs.

No thieves do not need to be nerfed. They need to be redesigned, The problem with thieves is their ability to augment and spam stealth, instead of being an utility For healing an mobility augmentation. If they could look at how they can redesign the thieves in that aspect and focus on mobility being there main mechanic, instead of nerfing them into the ground and breaking the class further. When Thieves will be “redesigned”, if i won’t be able to go 1 v 4 and manage to kill one guy every now and then without taking the slightest risk of being downed, then yes, i see it as a Nerf. Because that’s what Nerf mean.

So you just wanting to nerf a class that has only ever been nerfed with no solution to fixing the problem, whenever you nerf one aspect of a class you have to look at how it affects every aspect otherwise you break it, if you dont redesign, or buff another aspect of the class at the same time. So how am I being unreasonable to have a discussion. People think nerfs are how you fix things in mmo’s, it is not you have to take into account how it affects everything with the class and or encounter.

You have a different definition of Nerf than me, him, her, etc… And so do i. That’s it.
The worst is, actually, we probably both agree on the same thing. It’s just for me, a Nerf is not “Keep the same skills/traits, but reduce the damage/duration/etc”, it’s just… Well, Nerf the class. Make it less powerful, and not “Powerful” like “Bam bam, how my god it hurts”. General, powerful.

Yeah I have never played any class that has zero risk of being downed on anything over 1v2. No matter what fun game play is where there is risk/reward and accomplishment. Haha
Main Hand pistol will be getting immobilize on body shot 1sec initiative increase to 4 according to the leak.
I guess they will reduce the boon stolen to 1 and hopefully bring back the initiative cost of LS to 1.

necro, engie, warrior, and guardian need it; their corresponding meta builds are ruining the game.
perplexity runes need to be nerfed to the ground/removed though.

thiefs haven’t really been nerfed very hard at all compared to other classes. secondly, the next patch change won’t really hurt stealth at all.

In my humble opinion cooldowns need to be added to thief skills and this initiative attack spam needs to go. I wouldn’t mind seeing buffs accross the board for all thief skills if they had a cooldown.
Keep in mind that boons themselves are being nerfed as well (in the form of limited boon stacking).
So the overall ‘nerf’ will probably be minimal.
But by all means, continue complaining.

Correction:
Duration based boons ( vigor – protection – regeneration – retaliation – aegis -fury ) will have a limit cap of 5, same goes for almost all conditions ( torment, vulnerability are left out )
