Thief Offhand sword suggestion.
One more? Okay let’s talk about it:
Skill 4
you get aviable a blurry for a half second, blurry cost 2 iniative.
You mean evade, like the mesmers blury right? Well pretty reasonable compared
with other classes blocks, but the ini cost is way too low.
Skill 5
Well this one is a little redundant if you play s/s, also it doesn’t really matter if it
works like the portal on such a short range.
Skill 3 Sword
So it’s a movable pistolwhip? Which means AoE retaliation kills you really fast
and with two times the same skill, a short block and AA there isn’t really
something special if you use S/S, so how about implementing something
extra to it? Like a blind? Dunno…
Skill 3 Pistol
Now it’s important to know how much bleed it inflicts, but another
semi ranged set is a little wierd imo, especially since this one has no backwards
teleport. Other than that this set sound ok, I guess, but it would at least need
one more condition to have the possibility of beeing a good set.
Skill 3 Dagger
Well there is a reason why thieves have so few cc skills, so i don’t know
if the would implement it, but other than that, why would you pull
your enemy to yourself if you can:
-Heartseeker too him.
-Leap too him.
Well at least it would be fun on Skyhammer, that is for sure.
In conclusion, I doubt that those skills won’t be more usefull than
allready existing ones, and therfore not used, but what do I know?
Skill 5 would be useful for closing gaps and do jumps that you cant jump, which you need rocketboots/rtl/faith leap/savage leaps and such, thief which is a moblity proffesion would need this.
Well, at skill 3 sword, we thieves are in deep need of hits which hits many hits in short time, due to damage scaling when you hit many hits, and this becomes our damage skill and i feel no root is enough to make up for having no addtional effect.
Pistol 3, Well we have no other sets than 1 with more than 2 condtions so that isnt that big of an issue, it would also incourage weaponswapping.
skill 3 dagger, well i tought it to be like a super moblity set, you can for example to nice combos like lets say you fight on two cliifs you jump to the other cliff and pull him down, you would be able to like jump across the field, control where you want your foes, easy to close gaps to and such.
Just to make up all the issues you said, but thanks
And btw that parry/blurry, you will have to block first to get the blurry, and the blurry is only a half second, usefull for dodging if you have zero endurance and a strong skill comes towards you.

Offhand Sword fits Ranger more than it fits Thief. Thief needs, in the following order:
Martial Staff
Claws
Whip
OH Light buff
MH Axe
OH Sword

I disargee competly, and claws and whip means they got to implent 42 new skins pr of them, and code many hundreds of weapons for impleting. And thief swashbuckler style would fit offhand sword. i think a lot would disargee that offhand sword swashbuckler/ shiro tagachi / ninja style would be a lot cooler than the things you linked.

Nah, I don’t think so. This isn’t WoW, it doesn’t really make a lot of sense for a Thief to fight with 2 swords. Thieves really shouldn’t get any ‘heavy’ weapons for their offhand, because it just makes the light weapon style very awkward (D/S? no). The weapons listed above would fit the Thief much better, and I’d be willing to bet the majority of Thief players would agree.
Would I complain necessarily Thieves getting it? I think it’d be silly if they got it and Rangers didn’t, but otherwise no I just think all professions need more weapon combos.
Also, a swashbuckler would use a Sword and a Buckler, not 2 Swords. Geez man.

Be realistic. OH Sword is a natural progression if any new skills are added. It’s a weapon we already have in MH, thus doubling it up isn’t that unnatural. Introducing martial staff means entirely new combat concepts have to be brought in (an immense amount of animation work to make it look in any way realistic due to the top-heavy nature of all of the current staves), I can’t see an Axe in any form being used, both claws and whip would have to be applied to other professions as well AND would require skins created from scratch (tons of them), as well as new legendary designs for those types. OH Light and OH Sword are the most likely above anything else.
And how would you know that a light MH and heavy OH would be awkward? A Sc/S Mesmer is far worse.

Im willing to bet against that majority of thieves will argee with you.
Im afraid working out new weapons will come loong after they have given competlu new weps to thieves. Dual swords would be god kitten nice.
sword thief is already barely credible (a sword, really?), dual swords is just silly
Warriors could use Scepters in GW1. Think of any totally insane combination, and GW1 allowed it.

Swords are medium size weapons, its like the heaviest thief shuld be able to wield, it could be like the warriors hammer the heaviest they can wield.
