I need help! I want to make a new char, a thief obviously. I kinda want him to be an asura because I’ve never played a tiny person before, but I’m very aesthetically driven and idk if I could deal with everything looking tiny on him. BUT Norn is the only other option that appeals to me apart from boring humans.

So my questions are: is the size of asura gear annoying / unrewarding (for a thief and/or for others) and is a norn male thief a bad idea in the opposite way due to their sheer size? Any opinions would be great! I would rather not make yet another human.

Anyways it’s big ugly somewhst fat like human vs. cute animations you will never see.

If you want a good condition elite for pve.. then again human.

Charrs have pretty nice animations on thief. But you have the tail / trenchcoat clipping hell….

What really bugs me about Asurans is the extra toes that always stick out of the shoes. You could be wearing the darkest of dark armor or a glorious full metal piece gear but your two flippin’ toes will always be showing.

I feel this might need a “cannot unsee” warning, but meh…

I sort of like the animations on the Asura, especially on the various dodges out of the DrD line if a thief. Load up Rabbit Fighter by TRex as background music.

The obvious choice here is Charr. Cats are naturally sneaky anyway.

I always perceived Charrs like Catcows rather than just Cats. So they might be sneaky, but you don’t want to hear loud “moooo” while sneaking on someone.

They pretty much are feline bullies. But despite that their footsteps aren’t like thunder. Animations look like they pack a punch with subtle weapons, face modification has a fair amount of flavor, fashion definitely is possible so long as you have a very extensive knowledge of medium armors.

Just play a human female for the leather racial armor. Done
Unless Charrs talk silly like a certain game’s sneaky cat race, they are just as fat as norns thieves

I love my Asura thief. I’ve taken great pleasure in pvp matches thinking that I have a little git running around the field murdering people.

I went along with Sylvari and I haven’t regretted it yet.

Sylvari are already camoflauged like real snipers, and they have the Pale Reaver snipers too. Sylvari are all about being snipers.

I’m quite happy with my F/Human. Armor looked good and body seemed to be a good match for the athleticism aspect.

I rolled a Charr for my thief and have no regrets! She is furry deadly!

The answer is clear and simple: Asura are the perfect thieves (and most probably Deadeyes).
