Thief Steal
Steal is very powerful.
Just be mad boring since you don’t use it as much as other mechanics.
I use Steal to kill with dat dere Mug. Close Distance, or get some skills to back me up brah and land flanking strikes/pistol whips. Or give some more boons when I fool around with Venoms.
steal +initiative = thief specific
1 free shadowstep every 45 seconds
an extra stollen skill : stealth /boons /condition /DPS
can be trained to :
add vigor /might /furry /swiftness
deal damage
make yourself invisible
restroe initiative
daze
I belive is fair
The steal mechanic isn’t as strong since it is basically a gap closer with an extra skill on the end, with a longish cooldown. However the other thief mechanic is initiative, which lets us use any skill whenever, as long as you manage initiative properly. So if you need to use, for example, pistol 4, it will always be up. This more than makes up for steal’s downsides, IMO.
By the way against other players the stolen skill is fixed depending on which class you steal from, which is much better.
I use/d it for the same reasons you guys have but I feel like I’m not using it like how it was meant to be used, as, pretty much, another skill. Sometimes I just get a useless skill that I would waste right away.
