You forgot the one where you move away infiltrator strike; start casting stomp; shadow return back and finish with infiltrator signet. That way you can save your Shadow step for a get out of situation or to remove condis. But goodjob that you’re posting tips for new thieves!

You didn’t give me credit for showing you the trick that I came up with 0_0 my Ninja strike, double stealth HS, Nor did I want many people knowing about it.

1) Easy trick you didn’t rly use: Blind stomp (with either sos or black powder)
2) Stun on a stealthed reviver: Pistol whip his last known location to hit both reviver (stunned) and person being revived (cleaved)
3) Luring that 1 stalking person who always runs away when you hit him with 2? Let one person stay and put down shadowtrap in front of him. Walk away and wait for the trap to activate. Wait another 5 seconds so your buddy injured him enough. Use trap and murder him.

You can combo infiltrator signet -> infiltrator’s strike -> steal for a super shadow step which covers a lot of distance and it’s really instant even though it’s 3 skills and opens with victim immobilized and poisoned and weakened (depending on your traits)

Shadow refuge can give two stealth attacks with pistol mainhand if you attack instantly.

ah i forgot that thing! the 3,600 distance +shadowstep utility. but i usually doing infiltrator’s strike and infiltrator’s signet . that distance is enough to catch enemy in spvp tpvp when im using S/D

-You can cast Cluster bomb from 900 distance, then swap to sword and get an immobilize on your target with steal+inf strike OR inf signet+inf strike. Get you some more reliable damage aswell as immobilize etc.

The video was good except for the crappy music lol. This thread is something I wish I had when I first started playing, had to learn all this stuff playing against other thieves.

The thing is alot of this stuff seems unintended, I’m almost afraid Anet will fix alot of it. But who are we kidding anet doesn’t fix anything.

i havent tried sthat cuz when i usually run double S/D ya without shortbow…. i did some cluster bomb before the nerf 1,200 range.. basilisk+cluster bomb then a quick CnD+steal+bacsktab! but i dnt have that video footage. well if the enemy is aware its hard to do that stuff.

I’m getting a bit sick of the AoE condition spam builds so I figured S/D to get in and out, but it feels a bit weaker unless you go S/D + S/D (and I love my SB)

sometimes i run double S/D somtimes D/P and shortbow. just use any build u want, if you feel comfortable with that build go for it
