Thief WvW Stats - Toughness / Vitality
[EU] Gandara
If you’re going to get crit damage, most recommend that you get at least 40% crit chance.
If you get your crit chance to where you’re happy with it but want more toughness without giving up crit damage, the cavalier trinkets are quite nice.
I’m a fan of the Cavalier trinkets because they work well with Knight’s and Berserker gear.
I’m a fan of the Soldier trinkets because they work well with Soldier and Berserker gear.
Though, please notice how the two work well with berserker gear in different respects.
Try your best to not make mistakes, but, when you do make mistakes, learn from them.

The only thing to think about when getting cavaliers items is power is a secondary stat. Power will effect your crit damage.

I agree, it should be noted that Cavlier gives you less power than Soldier’s, Valkyrie, and Berserker. It instead gives the most toughness per slot (tied with Knight’s).

this is what I normally run on my thief
Thanks for the feedback guys. Being that I mostly just use Shortbow with my zerg, does anybody have some numbers I should shoot for? Does 1400 for both Toughness and Vitality sound like enough?
I can mix and match gear, just need stat numbers to shoot for. I don’t want to overdo defensive stats however, and hit like a wet noodle.

A guildie of mine has a rule-of-thumb that he never goes below 1,700 else, as he puts it, he is “thief food”. That’s for a warrior though, so you could likely get away with less (I believe Mesmer and Thief are the best two classes at being glassy).
As I said before, if you’re going to get any crit damage, make sure you have enough precision to have at least 40% crit chance.
gw2buildcraft.com is an excellent site to play around on with your spec and different gear combinations to try to squeeze the most out of your gear.
