Thief celestial armor?
Celestial is really iffy for Thief, mostly because we just get even more from offensive stats than most classes and even less from defensive stats, and Healing Power is a total waste. It’s also not terribly effective trying to hybridize completely between physical and condition damage. Hybridizing can be somewhat effective, but you still want to focus a little more on one than the other to get the most out of it.
It’s not the worst choice, though. If you prefer to have a safety net and do see yourself every trying to play in a highly specialized way, then go for it.
Go for zerk. You can blind every trash mob and tank every open world boss with Pistol Whip + Invigorating Precision
There’s no need for anything other than zerk. Celestial is a terrible choice for a thief. If you want some more HP, use Zerk / Valkyria Combo
Celestial could work, but thieves have tons of active defense. They also happen to lack almost any passive defense (or it just sucks). So boosting your toughness and healing power at the expense of other stats hurts more than other professions. Also, very few theif weapons make good use of both condition and power damage. It is doable, and could even be viable for roaming and pve, but you’d have to put some energy into planning. I don’t have enough experience with thief since the update, but it used to be possible with p/d, d/d and shortbow. (if you go celestial, I suggest you have either your gear or trinkets more specialized. This way you will excel a little more at either power or condition damage.)

Alright, listen.. They’re not wrong that full zerk is optimal. However being full zerk takes more skill than they are leading on, and if you’re a casual gamer and decide to PUG some dungeons now and then, you’re gonna be in a world of hurt. (especially if everyone is stacking and there’s not good enough dps to back it up. )
With that having been said I would still say go full zerker (maybe throw in some valkyrie) with the armor, but since there are no trait lines to give you defensive stats anymore, you should use your trinkets to give yourself those stats. If you have or plan on having an elementalist at some point, it won’t be a waste of laurels to get ascended celestial trinkets since ascended trinkets work well with them and are account bound. You can give them back and forth to your characters.
