Thief elite specialisation speculation

1. I think thief will get rifle. I don’t want this.
2. I would like thief to have a TWO SWORDS. Not TWO-HANDED SWORD. But TWO SWORDS!! I really love my beloved S/D, but with that kitten nerfs + this spec update, it is now totally broken (in that bad meanin’). It hasn’t so big burst like it had before. Or its survivability is rly bad if it has its burst. I could have it balanced before a spec patch. It had a lot of survivability and its burst was rly big.
3. I love S/D ‘cause of its Shadow Steps and ports. That Evasive playstyle is rly incredible. So I would like to have this new proffesion mechanic like more with PORTS. Like from Bleach that Flesh Steps. I want more ports, that’s all. Sword’s skill 2 has a slow port. When you want to shadow-step back, you have to wait 0,25 sec. I know it isn’t a lot of time, but if it would be immediately, it would be far more fun and better in all the ways.
4. I don’t know what kind of utility skills it could have (maybe more Shadow Steps like skills) but I think that it could have a Elite Skill like this – For 5 sec. Quickness + Your initiative points amout doesn’t decrease, in other way to say – infinite amout of initiative for 5 sec.
5. It could be called Shadow. Just a Shadow ‘cuase you can’t run away from your shadow. So that’s why. Shadow will always get you, and you can never get him. But spec. Shadow Arts should be renamed after this, ‘casue it’s a little wierd to have two Shadow… specs. in our traits.

1. Staff. Main role – active defense for yourself and your allies, preventing spikes. E.g. rush to a target area, granting every ally in the zone Invulnerability. Or spin your staff, creating a shield that blocks projectiles and pushes back enemies every 0.5s until the effect ends, you can move while spinning it, blocking damage for allies.
2. Greatsword. Because I love greatswords so much I kitten them. I have seven greatswords for each day of the week. A godkitten harem in here.
3. Now that’s a question. I say Steal will remain Steal because we have Improvisation, which is very specific and requires stolen abilities to work. Initiative may be replaced with a resource like Wounds, which requires you to take or block damage to generate it.
4. Mantras. Mostly defensive/CC.
5. Monk.

No. Actually it looks like an engineer. Something we can already do.

What is it exactly that has been data-mined? some picture?? How is that evidence?
Weapons skills being data-mined would convince me more than that. And even that means nothing, ask all those elementalist that were convinced that they were gonna get main-hand swords.

2. Off Hand Sword – I just wanna dual wield with a power set.
3. Change Steal into a Ranged Tether that either
Immobilizes and adds stacks of vuln to a target after a duration.

Can be reactivated to pull you and the target toward each other meeting half way.
EDIT: For improv they could always make it so in the new elite spec you always “steal” the same new item/skill when you use your new F1. Could be dashes, stealth fields in your F2 slot.
4. The kits thing I don’t know how believable it is that we would get 6 sets of kits seems pretty unbelievable. Think we could get physical utilities could have dashes/evades sense dashing is a physical act.

Weapon skills would just be some numbers without names that could belong to any class. What we got was clearly Thief related Specialization art picturing a guy holding a staff and then we have exactly the same staff as on the picture already leaked in the game.

The fact that the datamined staff weapon matches the background image perfectly, I’d say that’s pretty compelling. Plus, the way the red strips hanging from the staff stretch with movement, it looks like it was made for swinging around said staff bojutsu-style so that it’d make a cool red-streak with every motion.

Give me mace with the ability to stun lock kitteners.
Personaly i would like to see the Thief get a Torch making some short of Tresure Hunter. It fits the core theme of the class and i would like to see a bit of *Enutrof*_(class from Dofus and Wafku games)_ action but I have no idead what spells he could have.
Otherwise he could get a Rifle and become some short of Bounty Hunter.
