Thief in PvP
Forums can confirm. Same playstyle, same methods, weapons, traits, utilities and yet people tell me I suck. Meanwhile pre-dDay, I won 1v1 and some 1v2. Now its … well you will see and I’m afraid to get infracted twice in one day for posting the truth. So ye. Queue X-Files music.
other classes devs went for powercreep, our dev went for balance in vacuum + 0 communication between them….. go figure

You know…another way of looking at this is that our dev is the only one that did his job properly if that is indeed the case.

That perspective also works, but it doesn’t change the fact that either way it leaves us in a kittenstorm.
Thief – Raiden Hayabusa
Thief – Gouki Kurokawa
Thief classes in general are supposed to be top tier for PvP but low tier for PvE but due to wonky balancing thief became gutter tier for PvP and only useful in dungeons to avoid certain areas with stealth and group condition removal and healing (every entire minute).
It’s only the best at open world roaming in PvE for gathering and such and leveling, and that’s because you have stealth to avoid mobs you don’t care to fight (it’s like dude if I wanted to fight I would have hit you) and when you do want to fight stuff (not tanky enough to be worth it) and moves fast with a certain signet. Warrior gets shake it off which acts like our haste but still, haste is great for getting up after a knockdown, which are typically easy enough to dodge but with so much clipping and effects can’t always read the tells.
@ OP: Maybe you’re having lags. I have some weird lags as well, sometimes against certain classes. It’s not my internet mostly (observing everything with my pingplotter, yes, I’m German). So, check your internet connection and if that is alright, then hope that the next patch will fix stuff for you.

They’re supposed to be balancing around the upcoming meta.
Obviously there would be some power-creep/meta-change in giving all professions a new trait line. The fact that we’re the only ones who are left behind means the Thief is the one unbalanced, not the other way around. We’re not in the new bell curve.
