Hmmm that only did 6k damage was strangely anticlimactic as well as easy to dodge…wait wait! No dont go back and hide from me, ok well if you are going to be like that…here let me show you my shortbows cluster bomb I can spam, see there you go 7k damage and I didnt even need line of sight! Whats that you yelling? Hmmm? You mean your AE does less damage and has a 30 second cooldown? Oh darn thats sad, just hold there for a sec though, I need to hit you with this next cluster bomb so you are dead!”

Thief: “Spinny spinny spinny! I am spinning! Wait what? everyone died at my spin party?…sad panda.”

Thief: “Ouch that hurt! Why you do that to me? Whats that? You cant see me? Really? Oh yah! I forgot to tell you I can go invis or use blinding powder to get out of nearly any dangerous situation! Then if things are too rough I will spam heartseeker or infiltrators arrow to get away from you! See! Its so easy! You know the only mistake you made was not rolling a thief like me! dont worry I wont hold it against you.”

Thief: “what do you mean I hadnt rendered?!?! wait wha?, you mean you want me to wait until I render on your screen before I can insta kill you? Wellllll…I dont know about all that, anet did give me the ability to kill you that fast so it must be gooood, right? hehehe, nah I think I just let you complain about not being able to react in time and dying in less than 2 seconds! kthxbyeeee!”

I hope some people got a laugh out of these quotes, I also hope anet understands how detrimental burst damage on certain levels is to the game

I actually thought about making a warrior post like this, I do have an 80 of every class but necromancer and guardian…problem is with a warrior it is easy to read, bola frenzy 100b or volley kill shot, kill shot gets avoided alot, warriors struggle to get the jump on people, but this is traded with more under fire survivability as you should know. I am not saying I agree with the massive burst of either class, what I am saying is playing a thief is certainly more cheese than the warrior…and playing any other profession besides those two actually takes much more practice to be effective, besides maybe the guard to an extent.

I am so beeping sick of seeing the same beeping beep every time I come on the beeping forums. Make a different character if you don’t like yours. It’s a very beeping simple fix. I played World of Warcraft for 5+ years and the rogue got more QQ than any other class BY FAR. Fact of the matter, people who can’t stealth, hate people who can. Its called ENVY. Get over it or roll a thief, no one is stopping you.

cough have an 80 thief, and I also had a 70 rogue in WoW, I quit before wrath. I would not draw that comparison, because one shots and instant kills only happened in WoW if someone was grossly under geared, pretty much naked and if those one shots happened they were on 3 minute cooldowns. Rogue relied on invis and stuns while doing damage over time, thieves in this rely on an instant kill burst…not the same. I did hear that paladins got OP in wrath or something though but stopped following it after that, I am sure they were nerfed.

Okay, apparently, no one likes to spend their traits in any sort of definsive way. Honestly, I am the same way…I find defensive boring. I like the big shiny numbers as much as the next guy. With that said, on my thief, I have been litterally killed in 2 seconds by a warrior who charged, knocked me down and frenzy slashed me to my death. How is that any different?? I think it is safe to assume that 80% of people in spvp or wvw are running glass cannon builds. It’s no kitten wonder why everyone is getting blown up so fast. Thieves running glass cannon builds get blown up extremely fast, probably more so than any class in the game. Put 30 points into toughness people and see what a difference it makes. Right, who the hell wants to do that and lose out on power, precision, crit dmg and condition dmg. Maybe they should just rename the thief forums QQ central.
