Ok so other classes can spam: (note auto attack 1 skill doesn’t count !)
ele/engineer: 4×4 skills=16 skills f1,f2,f3,f4 each with 4 skills
rest: 2×4=8 skills
thieves: spam x2 black poweders= 12 ini (all your ini actually unless trait)
OR 4 HS, (3ini each)
OR 2C&D

warrior has highest dps / toughness and vitality ! & awsome flags with imba boons
thief: medium armor/some dps/ lowest vitality , almost non-existant boon support
but we have stealth ! …. but it is bad vs pve mobs now…
agility !….no…unless you spend 15 points trait
burst !….not very good in pve…
downed skill 3 = useless in pve

To be honest I don’t really die often and do relatively well, if we could see deaths v kills the ratio would be pretty high. I don’t really have any major complaints about thieves although I do think, like many classes, we’re kind of forced to use certain build elements/weapons. But ey – oh that and the point assignments from traits I spec high into trickery but do not want that condition damage I’d rather it was elsewhere.

So, I like being a thief.

I actually took a Warrior (crafting/space) alt into PVP after doing some research. I felt like I was in slow motion the entire time. Or maybe it’s just the way Norn females run, but I felt like when fighting as well. Just…clunky.

Needless to say, I was desperate to get back to the graceful ballet that was my Thief. <3

But how much damage those skill deal?
My autoattacks with Dagger deal 1k>1k>2-3k (with crit, but i have a great chance to crit, so i hit those almost every time)
Heartseeker can deal 4k when enemies are low, CoD hits 3-4k and the next strike hits 7k

1+1+2+3+4+7 = 18k damage in, say, 7-8 seconds
Other classes have cooldowns, and the most powerful skills generally take 15-60 secs before they can be used again. That means I can deal a minimum of 36k to a max of 136k damage depending on the class “combo”

Thief is a great class imo, and smart use of iniciative is the one of the things that separate good players from the best players
