I’m currently in gold and while I have my rotations down pretty well, other thieves always burst me down really quick. I can only disengage so many times, at some point they will (almost) kill me anyway. Anytime a thief jumps on me he takes half my health in a second it seems, while my own burst is lacking. What can I do against this?

Also how can I improve spike damage against other classes?

To help you improve your spike damage we first need to know what attack/opening/combo/ weapons and traits you are using.

Generally whomever gets the burst first wins if they force the fight.

Alternatively, you can win matchups where you are disadvantaged by properly using your blinds. Blind is king. And d/p has several ways to do it especially in spvp. Don’t be afraid to use your blinding powder for the blind as well as the stealth sometimes.

Generally this is true, however I can’t count the amount times I have seen a strong initial burst, only to be turned against them and the attacker got rekt….these are the bursts I love to see.
