This needs to be fixed i guess, you can hit thiefs while you swing your sword around when they are stealthed right? So why you cant hit them with the hammer while he is finishing you in stealth?

If you turn off “autotarget nearest enemy.” you can.

Well i just use tab then it selects it?

no, but you can throw it without a target to try and hit them. same as weapon attacks against stealthed targets.

Yea thats what i mean, i do wait the normal time required to get in my vengeance mode.. but the hammer doesnt hit the thief

(maybe he uses stability too ) not sure about that though. But the last few times a thiefs went to stealth kill me and i threw the hammer, nothing happend

Just cause you throw a hammer doesn’t mean you will hit them. I’ve noticed sometimes that if I stealth and go for the stomp while in front of them, they can hit me with a hammer. I’ve also noticed that 9/10 if I’m behind them (closer to their head) when I go for the stomp, I don’t get hit.

Projectiles have a harder time hitting without a target than melee attacks hitting an arc in front of you. Unfortunately for you, the Hammer throw is a projectile attack so the Thief, if smart will avoid it most times.

The positive side is that other professions don’t even get that chance at avoiding the stomp so you’re in a better situation than Necros and Engis…

Blind on stealth maybe?

I pop signet of shadows when I down someone and they are about to use their interrupt.

Reading up on other classes skills can help you understand how to fight against them… do your research.

I use cloaked in stealth, so I stealth myself and blind the enemy at the same time
Another way I beat the hammer is by shadowstepping away, wait for the throw and shadowstep back without interrupting the finish
